An SDK for Biplane?

We've been asked several times if there's a possibly to license or purchase or use or get or..... (you get the idea) the objects used in Biplane.

Well, good news for you dev monkeys. The finishing touches are being put on the very first release of Enkadia class library for the .NET framework. Included in the library will be the viewer object (create as many Biplane view windows as you want), functions to Scale and Center Images and Set Aspect Ratios, methods to use the ClickGrid and Hide the Biplane viewer.....and we'll be incorporating the component to access our PocketPC remote functions.

We're excited about the possibly seeing the creativity of others when they put our tools to work.

Remote Control for Biplane

We're working on developing a small application to be used on a PocketPC so a user can have a "handheld" remote. In testing right now and should be released by mid-June. Keep an eye out for it. Right now the remote works over a network. Next step, Bluetooth.....

Putting After Effects to work for the LCMS Nat'l Youth Gathering

I'm hard at work putting together the opening video clip for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod national youth gathering, to be held this summer in Orlando. Phil Grimpo from Inspirmedia asked me to create a flyby of 100's of images sitting in 3d space.

Thankfully, using After Effects scripting tools and Photoshop's layers made this easier for me than I thought it would be.

I put about 120 images each in a separate PS layer and hauled the hunormous PSD into After Effects. After applying the 3d layer randoming script I'd written, then I could start tweaking the flyby. I thought I was almost done....until Phil told me, more images, we need more images! So, I'll probably precomp the hundred I have now and arrange them in space, too.

I'm thinking that using the PSD layers and batch processing we'll be able to create a new open every day.

If you're going to the Gathering (lcmsgathering.com) look for the graphic (and maybe your picture) at the opening to the Mass Events.

Should be fun.

Huron nears beta

We're working hard on the development of Huron, an application to make life easier for our friends in the Lincoln Real Estate business. The XML files this app generates makes filing forms and other business docs 100's of times easier.
